Hi, I'm Ralf Boehnke
My name is Ralf Boehnke and I was born and raised in Germany. In 2004 a big dream of mine came true. I sold my screen print business in Germany and moved, together with my wife Ellen, to America. The dream has grown over the years, following numerous trips to the U.S., which began when we sought medical expertise at the Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center in New York City, where my daughter Tanja was receiving treatment for cancer. Sadly our beloved daughter lost her battle with cancer in 1998, but we felt comforted by the warmth, kindness and generosity of spirit from the people we met. We loved it from day one. We were always made to feel very welcome and continue to feel the same way today.
After moving to the U.S. we bought a small print and copying business in Brewster, NY. We operated this print shop as a family business with the help of three employees. Modern technology, offset printing and the latest computer equipment allows us to extend the business and to offer our products to a wider range of customers via the internet.
In Spring of 2009 we sold our store based business and moved along with our online business to Maine. I take great pride in personally checking almost each order before it leaves the shop. It gives me great satisfaction to see orders leaving and being delivered to many parts of the country. I am grateful that our small business allows us be a part of this great country. We are living our very own American dream! In 2014 exactly on Valentines Day our daughter Rose was born and she is the loveliest little girl you can imagine.
I am also the proud owner of www.ChurchEnvelopes.com.
